Can't stop taking selfies?

Selfie has played a big role in the lives of people nowadays. Look around you. Look into every social networking sites that you are registered in. We can see that young and old, rich and poor, men and women have been addicted with this activity. I, myself, has taken a lot of selfies. I mean, who else hasn't, right? Moreover, with this activity getting viral, comes another mental disorder called 'selfitis'.

Selfitis is defined as "the obsessive compulsive desire to take photos of one's self and post them on social media as a way to make up for the lack of self-esteem and to fill a gap in intimacy."

In much easier term, selfitis is, to some extent, a selfie addiction, which, according to
the American Psychiatric Association (APA) has no cure but can be temporary treated.

"What a nonsense!"
"Oh cool! Now I have a disorder!"

Crazy, isn't it?

We all have our own response in connection to this thing. Whatever that may be, I'd say that at the end of the day, we can all take photographs of whatever that we want and just be happy about it.

Just remember that too much of anything can affect us, maybe not in physical aspects, but to other aspects as well. All we need to remember is that we need to really take good care of ourselves.

Have fun!
